6year Physical

Today was Eric's 6 year old physical. He's growing good! He's 50 pounds and 45 1/2 inches. He's 75% for his weight and 50% for his height. And 92% for his BMI. It's kind of funny to me that his percentage has changed. He's always had the higher percents for things since he was born. And now they don't measure the head. That used to be always atleast 110% always was off the charts LOL. But he's doing great! He had to do the 'duck walk' he thought that was pretty funny! But all is well!

My baby Eric!

O how time flies bye! It is hard to believe that my baby boy is 6 years old today. Seems like just yesterday I was bringing my angel home from the hospital. And now he's going into first grade, playing sports, and is a big brother to 2 siblings! How quickly the time passes.

We had his birthday party on Saturday. It was alot of fun! We played tug-o-war, 3 legged race, potato sack race, egg on a spoon race. We had cake and ice cream. It was alot of fun! It did rain some but didn't spoil his day!

Today we just kind of hung low. Until this evening. Then we went out to dinner. We went to Eric's favorite place... Friendly's! He loves that restaurant! Then we had a couple toys to return/exchange. So we went to Toys R Us and Walmart. Well, I have the sweetest little boy you will ever meet I swear....He got an Optimus Prime costume for his bday, well, it was a smidge too small so we exchanged it for a bigger size. Well, Alex's fav. transformer is Bumblebee. Eric wanted to buy Alex a bumblebee costume too. And he did. So, now they can play transformers together. I just could not believe my lil boy wanted to buy his brother a present as well. I must have done someting right!

Well, it's hard to believe but we are now into the 2 handed club...meaning, can no longer count Eric's age on just one hand. He has to 2 fist it now! 6 years old. Time goes so fast. I am such a sap...if it doesn't all make sense it's cuz i'm all weepy here as i'm typing....

Here's a link to the pics from his bday!

She has been sleeping thru the night for a couple nights now! I am loving it!!! I just need to figure out how to put her bumpers on the crib so they fit right. She is doing very well! Ivy goes to sleep around 10 or so and sleeps usually till 7-9 or so. I'm happy about that!!!!

Missing my boys

It's Thrusday. And boy am I missing my boys. They are doing very well tho. Yesterday Alex started the 'I want you'. I'm really suprised it didn't start till then. But the boys have been having alot of fun. My dad said they've been going to lots of parks and visiting some family. Wish the weather was a little nicer for them tho.

It's so quiet here tho. Ivy is keeping me on my toes tho. I really thought I would have gotten everything done and be completely set for Eric's bday party on Saturday, but things are going quite as smoothly. Things are good just wish I had more hours in the day. KWIM? What gets done gets done...

Today I had my 6 week post partartum check up. It went fine. I am 5 pounds from where I was when I went in to have my 1st baby dr. apt for Ivy. I can't believe it's been almost 6 weeks. Well, techinally it's been 5 weeks and 2 days but still. Time is just flying by.

Sleep!!!

Ivy slept so great last night. We were visiting friends of ours that were in from out of town and she fell asleep around 10pm. So, we put her in her carseat and when we got home we decided to let her sleep there till she woke up. Well, she woke up at 8:30 this morning. It was wonderful! This is 2 nights in a row that she has slept so well! Let's hope for another one!!!

Pappy Summer Camp

The boys are in PA now. We met my Dad in Erie, PA and had lunch. From there they went to 'Pappy Summer Camp' So, they are in PA from Sat. till Sat. It's only Sunday and I already miss them bunches. Last night they spent the night at my Aunt's house. She took them to Church this morning. And my dad is to pick them up this afternoon. It's so weird not knowing what all they are doing and stuff. So, it's just Tim, Ivy and I. It's weird just the 3 of us. The house is so quiet too. Nice quality time with my girl tho.

Mandatory Fun

Mandatory Fun Day.....AKA...Army's Battalion Organazional Day. We had to leave the house at 6:30AM to be able to be in Syracuse by 9:45. Talk about getting up early and out of the house with 3 small kids. Not the most easiest task. But we managed! It ended up being a nice day tho. But it was a very long and tiring day as well. The kids were all troopers and were very well behaved.

Alex passed out on the ride there.

Eric and Alex doing their exercises at a rest area. I wanted them to be able to get out and stretch. It worked! They were very good in the car!

Alex enjoying a snow cone
Eric being a ham!
Tim playing Kan Jam.

Mandatory Fun...

Fun at the Oneida Lake. It was so nice! The kids could walk far out and the sand was wonderful!
They had so much fun playing in the water!
Ivy doesn't look too comfy! Haha. But this is how her neck goes all the time when she is in her carseat.
Building a sandcastle with Daddy!!!
Laying on the beach wrapped up in her favorite blanket!!!

Ivy is 1 Month Old

My precious lil girl is 1 month old today. I can barely believe it. I love her so much! I can't believe she is 1 month old already. Seems like yesterday. This time is flying by way too fast.

We went for 1 month pictures today. Kate comes up with some super cute ideas! Ivy did very well and co-operated extremely well!!! I was very proud of her!! Here's a link to Kate's blog with some pictures on there! I think my girl is just precious!! http://agoldentouch.wordpress.com/2009/07/16/how-fast-the-grow/

Ivy had her 1 month pediatrician appointment today as well. She is looking great! The doctor said she sounded clear! He said he couldn't detect anything! So, that is music to my ears!!! We still go back in September for the Cardiologist and stuff but mama is happy!! Ivy weighed in at 8# 12.8oz. and 21inches long! Her head is 15inches.

She is still a peanut to me. I mean yes, she is getting bigger and she wore a 3 month outfit today. I couldn't believe it! But she looked great!! I remember the boys being so much bigger at 1 month! All in all, this past month has flown by. Life is super busy and my babies are all growing up way to fast in front of me.

We went to Presque Isle in Erie, PA today! It was so much fun! We met up with Stephen, Lisa, and Hunter! They were out from Chicago. It was great seeing them! Tracy, Cole, and Kenzee stopped by for a bit too! All the kids had fun playing. And I have to say that my 3 were angels all day! I was truely proud of them!!! After the beach, we stopped at Waldamere. It's a lil amusement park. We just stopped to get something to eat real quick. They have THE BEST potato french frys ever!!! MMM yummy! Hehe! I was pretty beat by the time we got home. But it was such a wonderful day!!! Here's some pics of our adventure!

Hunter! Isn't he a cutie!!!!!

This was a first for me to see...This is Lisa eating the rest of Hunter's baby food. It was spaghetti. And she really liked it! Gross! LOL

Wii Weight

So, I figured i'd start the exercising today. it's been 3 weeks! Well, for the heck of it, I got on and then I picked up Ivy. It says she weighes 8# 7oz. I wonder how accurate it is??? I'm betting pretty spot on cuz my weight on it was correct. My baby girl is getting too big!!!

Our lil update from the past week!

Whew what a busy weekend we had!! I am finally getting a chance to update things a lil bit. Let's see, We had Ivy's Welcome Baby party on Saturday along with the 4th of July party. It was a success. We had some great visitors and appreciate everyone coming!! Thanks to all the presents for her as well! Sunday, we went for Family pictures. I swear they are way harder to do than doing just individual kids. There's always someone that isn't cooperating completely. But with a family of now 5 it is kind of hard to get everyone co-operating when there are 3 young kids. You know if it's not the kids then it is mom and dad! HAHA but all in all I think we got some good shots and now just need to pick out some pics. Thanks again Kate!!!

Alex had his preschool evalution on Monday. He was a trooper!!! They tested for his hearing and speech. They should have done the vision too but their machine was broken, so they said they will do it in September. The lady doing the hearing was having issues with the machine so they had tried to do his hearing 4 times. I was so proud of him for letting them!! They also checked his blood pressure. He was not sure about that at all but it had a bear on it, so I told him that the bear needed to do a squeeze to check his muscles!!! He did great. His bp was 86/64. Seems odd to me, but maybe that's what it's supposed to be for kids?? They said it was fine. They wanted height and weight but they're stuff was weird so estimate is 33.4 pounds and 36 1/2 inches. He failed his articulation part for the speech. But they were also evaluating him as a 3 year old, so they are going to retest him in 6 monthes. And I'm sure he will do alot better then. I know he has some issues there but not too bad. All in all he did so great! I remember taking Eric for his eval. and he wouldn't let them do the bp or the hearing. Eric said he remembers not letting them do the hearing lol.

Lil miss Ivy Dawn is 3 weeks old today. I can barely believe it. She is getting so big. She still fits in some newborn clothes, but she is now moving into her 0-3 month clothing. I can't believe it. Before my eyes she is getting too big too fast. It truely is bittersweet. She is starting to make some lil sounds but not cooing totally yet. I was just holding her and she 'laughed' and was smiling. Makes it hard not to laugh with her. LOL. I know it wasn't a real laugh or anything yet but o it was so cute!!!!! Time is going by way, way, way too fast!!! And I wanted to add that Ivy slept for 6 hours straight last night and then lil stinker just layed awake for 1 hour and then dozed back off for another hour. She went 8 1/2 hours with out eating. I tried feeding her she just didn't want it. She was content. I couldn't believe it. Doubt that will happen again anytime soon lol.

Eric is being a very good helper! He loves to be able to feed his sister. In fact just a lil bit ago he was holding her and didn't want to put her down! He said he likes her snuggles!!!

Tim is now back to the bump and grind. So, now I think things on the home front might start getting back to normal. Looking forward to the nicer weather I keep hearing that is supposed to be coming our way. I loved having Tim home, but now we will see how things will be going!

Me....well, I'm doing great! Loving life and loving my family! Just wish I had a lil more energy to get things done. And a new back but hey...don't think that will ever happen.

Ivy Cardiologist Update

We just got back from the cardiologist. It went well. Ivy is doing great. She weighed 8#4oz! So, she has gained 14oz in just 9 days! WTG big girl!! The dr. did verify that she has a PDA - which stands for Patent Ductus Arteriosus. Basically the valve isn't closed yet. And she also has PFO- which stands for Patent Foramen Ovale. This one is between the two chambers that 1/3 of ppl as adults still have. IF the PDA does not close by the time she is 1 year old then they may go in and try to close it. It wouldn't be open heart surgery or anything, they would go thru her leg some how.... But the dr said that both could still close. He did another EKG today on her and he said that came back normal. He said her heart looks great, just those two things. He said not to be worried, she's got great color and was messing around with some arterties in her legs to check blood flow and stuff. We go back in 2 months for a check up to see how things are goin. She goes to the ped tomorrow for a follow up with him. It should be interesting to see if the weight in the same lol. (being it was 2 different places). All in all, I'm still a lil worried, but trying to remember what the dr said that my baby is just fine. And just going to keep praying that everything closes on it's on and nothing further is needed.
I wanted to jump on real quick to send out the update, so I hope it all makes sense. But gotta go feed my princess now!!!!
