The DEC officer came today to help save the baby alligator! So, he's back swimming away all safe! The alligator weighed 15 pounds and was 18 inches long!

Veteran's Day

First and foremost, I want to say Happy Veteran's Day to all the Veteran's out there!!! God Bless each and every one of you for your service! Thank you!

I just have to say sometimes it's so very nice to be a bargain finder!!! And I just love love love the blogs I follow!

Anyway...I found a program offering up a free bed and breakfast for Veteran's on November 10th thru the 11th. So, of course I jumped on it, thinking eh....I'll deal with finding a sitter later if need be lol. So, we got a room for free at the Inn on the Beach in St. Pete Beach for free! It was so awesome! It was so very nice to have some alone time with my husband. St. Pete Beach was really pretty! My favorite part was seeing a dolphin a couple times just swimmin in the water. It was so close to shore. The last picture you can see it! Can't wait to go back and collect some more sea shells with the kiddos!!! O and if your wondering...NO, we didn't leave the kids home alone! My Grandma and Aunt so graciously came and watched the kiddos overnight for us! It was really awesome and greatly appreciated!

Gatorland came to Bass Pro Shops today. So, of course Tim thought we should go! Althogh I think he thinks we should go atleast ounce a week. haha The kids had a blast tho! Alex got to hold an Alligator, Eric got to hold a Ball Python, and Ivy just about wanted to take the Alligator home with her! She pratically gave it a hug! It was awesome!

Then this evening, we decided to go do a lil fishing down at the lake down the street from us. Well, I was the only one that caught a fish. A tiny fish but still a fish lol. It was starting to get dark and the mosquitos were starting to come out, so Ivy and I walked home. Well, of course that's when more fun starts...Eric caught a baby Alligator!! The Alligators were funny there because it kept coming after the bobbers to bite them. Well, he moved, and when he went to reel his line it, the alligator came and got hooked, so he caught an alligator. Pretty incredible. Well, of course it started 'crying' or making the noise they make and out come about 15 more baby alligators and then comes Mama Alligator! And of course I missed it! But Eric is just tickeled pink that he caught an alligator. In the last picture you see is the picture of the Mama alligator, but it's hard to see cuz it was so dark. Tim said it was pretty big too. But you have to look closely at the picture.

Today is my 28th birthday. I know I'm getting up there...but it's been a fun ride so far. My hubby and kids made me a nice dinner and baked me a cake! In the 9 1/2 years we've been together he's never baked me a cake or even bought me a cake. So that, to me, was awesome! It turned out good too (but mine are still better! lol) They got me some nice gifts too. I have such a wonderful family!!!

Definately is not the same as NY when it comes to fall here in Florida. BUT we are trying to make the best of it. We found a place not too far from us that had some pumpkins and we went and got some. I do have to say they were way cheaper than we've paid in the past so that was nice. I know there's some more in depth pumpkin places but they cost too much to go to. We have a pretty big lake right at the end of my street, and it has some Alligators in there. We took my Aunt Kay down to see them today before she left to go back to PA. They were scurring all around today. They are just babies. We haven't seen mama or daddy yet and sort of ok with that! lol

Cubscout Campout

This weekend Tim and Eric went camping with the cubscout pack. They were gone Friday to Sunday. They had a great time! Eric got to use a bb gun, play sports and shoot bow-n-arrows. They had a Halloween evening Saturday night with haunted houses, a haunted trail and so much more. They had so much fun.

Owwy is what Eric got tonight!! He was outside playing and riding his scooter, he bailed and got a big ol goose head. Poor kiddo. Alex came right in to tell me that Eric needed him so that was good. And of course Eric has school pictures next week Thursday! Then after I get Eric settled with ice and everything Alex sprayed bug killer spray in his eye! UGH what a day. Luckily it wasn't serious and I got it taken care of right away but wow these kiddos today!

Bye Bye Bottle

Finally we are saying bye bye to the bottle. I wasn't as persistant on getting rid of the bottle when Ivy turned 1. There were so many things that happened this summer...finding out we were moving, Ivy's surgery, actually moving...so I didn't really push. But yesterday was day one of having no bottle all day! She did very well especially since she had gotten shots on Wednesday and just cutting another tooth! She took a nap great and slept awesome! So, now onto day 2 of no bottles! Boy, I can't wait to make a post about no diapers! someday lol

Dr Appointments

We found a new doctor and had to take Alex and Ivy for their checkups yesterday. It was for Alex's 4 year old physical and Ivy's 15 month check-up. The new office seems pretty good so far. I was really pleased with the nursing staff and the doctor herself was awesome!

Alex got 2 shots and is 40 inches tall and 37.1 pounds. He's growing proportionally so that's great! He's about 50% all the way around but he's doing well! Ivy got 3 shots and is 30 1/2 inches and 23.94 pounds. (she's still a peanut compared to the boys at her age but that's ok!) She's doing very well too! About 60th% for weight and just under 50% for height and her head...well yup...it runs in the family! She's just under 90% for her head. Eric got a shot yesterday as well.

I don't think they should have given Ivy her shots in her legs tho. Our old pedtrician would give them in the arms when the child started walking and now I can see why. Ivy doesn't want to walk too much, her poor lil legs are sore. But Alex is complaining bout his arms too. Should make for an interesting day today.

But all in all they all look great and are doing very well!

Today is Alex's 4th birthday! Hard to believe he's 4 year's old already! Seems like just yesterday he was born! We had a nice little party for him on Saturday. We had some family from both my side and Tim's side. It was very nice to still have some family be able to come for his party! He got some nice presents from everyone and is just thrilled to pieces.

Today we went to Cocoa Beach to celebrate in the sun. What a wonderful day it was! The weather was perfect! The water was amazing! We all had so much fun!!! Alex thought it was a great birthday!!!

Welcome to the neighborhood

Welcome to the neighborhood....yup, that's what we are thinking now that someone stole from us! Someone stole stuff from our car Sunday night/Monday morning. So sad and disappointing because they stole mostly from our kids. They took all the money in the boys wallets, stole the dvd player and stole Tim's Ipod. The cops think it was a kid because they didn't steal the GPS nor did they take the actual wallets (just the money not even the gift cards) It makes me sick. I don't understand why people can't keep their hands to themselves. We didn't tell the boys though, we told them that we took the dvd players out of the car. I don't know if it was the right decision for sure because could we have taught the kids a lesson as to WHY you never ever take something that doesn't belong to you? But we chose not to tell them and hopefully we can replace the dvd player soon. As for the money, we will replace that and they won't know either. In a way we just want to keep them inocent feeling. If that makes sense. I wish parent's would teach their kids right and wrong. We live in a gated community so therefore, it's most likely one of our neighbors. Another question is....wouldn't you notice if your kid all of a sudden had a dvd player or an ipod? I mean money yea a parent might not but the others....I dunno. And if it wasn't a kid and someone else well....all I can say is KARMA. Hopefully if the stuff is pawned we'll get it back. We also found out that a few houses down from us got hit too. So, atleast it wasn't just us.....and that house....a cop lives there! How sad.

A lil Different

I just made out invitations for Alex's 4th birthday. Not only was it a lil sad thinking my lil guy is gonna be 4 years old already but this was the first time I've written so little invites. Yup, we're sending out 5 invites. Poor lil guy says "Mommy, I want a pinata" and I had to explain to him that it will only be him, Eric, and Ivy at his party. He's being a trooper, but hopefully we'll have some family come to his party and then on his birthday we take him somewhere special. Hard to believe he's going to be 4 years old already! How time flies!

Some updates

We found a home! No, we're not were we thought we were gonna be initially but we are hoping that this is for the better! We found a nice house and are beginning the joyful process of unpacking. Currently we feel as we may be living out of boxes forever, but it will all come at time.

Eric started 2nd grade on Friday, September 10, 2010. The school district down here started on August 23. So, he's a couple weeks behind but he'll catch up just fine. He said his first day of school was perfect. So that's awesome! I have to either walk or drive Eric to school as we live pretty close. I don't mind the walk it's fine in the morning but for now until the weather cools off a little bit, I will be picking him up by car in the afternoon. He's to be at school about 8:15am. and M,T,TH,F he goes till 3pm. On Wednesday's they get out at 2pm. Not sure why but that's how it goes. Eric is doing pretty good with everything going on. Very glad to be starting school and getting to meet some friends.

Unfortanetely Alex is not going to be able to go to preschool this year:( We both are very sad about that. He doesn't make the age cut off for the school district, he has to be 4 by Sept. 1st, and his birthday isnt' until October. Bummer. And with the move and everything, we haven't found a preschool that is affordable either. I looked into 2 so far and the one was $300 a month and the other one was $170 a month. Ummmm yea just a lil out of our price range currently. Alex is pretty bummed about no school though. But he seems to like the house and has been a real trooper thru this all!

Which brings me also to Ivy. Since Alex will be home with us we are looking into activities to get involved with and have found a mom's group so we will see about some playdates and such. Ivy is doing pretty good with everything. She seems to be happy to have some of her belongings back! She's been a handful to say as well, nothing bad. Just starting to really have a personality and getting into things and knowing when and what she really wants.

Tim's still on leave, which has been really helpful, and looking forward to his help unpacking all the boxes. So glad I don't have to do it all myself! I'm sure he'll be happy to start work tho to get into a routine. Well, maybe happy isn't the proper word, but he'll be ready for a break from us I'm sure lol.

Me....well....what can I say...It's hot! Not used to the heat! Going to definatly miss the seasons changing. I love fall and well, my palm trees out front just are not going to make for a good leaf pile :( O well....gotta look at the bright side of things, my kids won't have to wear snow suits under their Halloween costumes!

Always on our toes....

that's what is seems like anyway....for the past 2 months we were planning on living in St. Petersburg, FL. Tim had gotten orders for there and so the search began....where to live, good neighborhoods/bad, schools, mom's groups, things to do, his work stuff and the list goes on. THEN on Thursday he got an email saying he's going to Lake Wales, FL. GRRRR so then we begin looking into there a lil. But weren't positive because the guy in charge of all that stuff was on leave until Tuesday. So....we were up in the air. THEN we called on Tuesday and the guy told him o no...you're not going to Lake Wales, AND you're not going to St. Petersburg....we don't know where you are going....WHAT!!! Yea so this has been very stressful because we haven't been able to look for a place to live or anything. thankfully we are able to stay at my Grandma's house till we can find a place. But we are ready to start getting settled in. It's crazy. We don't really know where to start looking for housing. But we're going tomorrow to drive around to see some areas....I dunno. Keep us in your prayers that we find something nice soon. I want to get Eric enrolled in school asap!!!

It's almost time to leave NY. We only have 3 more days. It's happened all so fast. Most of our stuff is packed up and they are coming tomorrow to load it all on the truck tomorrow. The packers weren't the best so hopefully the crew tomorrow will be much better!

Traveling with kids

So as you all know we are moving to Florida and leaving on August 26th. We are going to PA for the weekend and then Sunday night we are going to be leaving around 11pm. Tim's gonna drive thru the night, we plan on stopping for breakfast, then go to a park and then do lunch and then back in the car for nap time. Drive until dinner, have dinner and get a hotel with a swimming pool and try to tire the kids out and then repeat and we should be in Florida on Tuesday. We have the ds, leapster, portable dvd players, books, activity books, and a few toys for in the car. What are some great ideas you've come up with. Traveling for such a long distance with 3 small kids we'll take any ideas possible!!!

Whew have we been busy!!!!!! Life's been so crazy lately. And it's really starting to hit that we are leaving soon. I just can't believe it. We leave in 10 days!!! So crazy!!! Putting the kids in bed tonight just looking around I was like wow I can't believe our stuff will all be gone from our first house we ever bought. Just crazy.

We went to the fair today with Grandma (Tim's Mom) That was a blast!! We had alot of fun!! The kids were super good and listened very well. They rode rides, had ice cream and so much more!! It was a great day had by all! Thanks again Grandma!!

Things aren't going so great on the housing front:( I really don't know what is going to happen, but we are leaving it in God's hands. I know that things will work out with Him leading the way.

Hmmm what else....Ivy finally popped another tooth! Bout time!! So, she has 2 on the bottom and 3 on the top!!! Children sure do grow up way too fast!!!!

Those are the big things right now. We are just super busy trying to get ready for the move and to fit everything in. Sure is flying by so quickly. We just ask that you all continue to pray for us and our journey. And that something happens with our house soon. THANKS!!!!

Well, the Open House wasn't good :( One couple came thru and said our 'ranch' was too small...UMMMM it's not a ranch! But whatever lol. Then the guy that has been basically playing games with us this past month saying he wants it but really doesn't follow thru came. Um yea he's not buying it, it's just playing games. It's very annoying. I don't have a clue what we're gonna do, starting to freak out some. People keep saying...o it will work out, but really? How? How are we going to pay a mortage, rent and 2 utility payments and have money to live on still? How are we supposed to make that work? I dunno. I know there's a big master plan from the big Man upstairs and I do know in the long run it will work out but I just don't know right now how and I'm getting so nervous. We leave in 16 days :( I dunno guess all there really is to do is pray so that's what I'll continue to do! And we ask that you do as well!

Hectic

That's how life has been lately. Tim was on leave this pack week, which helped tremedously. We were able to de-clutterthe house. And we had our last yard sale this weekend. We didn't have a ton of people, but we did pretty good nontheless.

A guy from the moving company came Friday morning to do our survey of all our household goods. The packers are coming Friday, August 20th and Monday, August 23rd. Then they are going to be loading our stuff on the truck on Tuesday, August 24th. Seems so unreal. We are leaving on Thursday, August 26th. So fast! Only 19 days till we leave....absoltely insane.

We haven't had much luck on the housing front :( We have another Open House tomorrow from 1-3. Praying like crazy that someone wants our house and buys it!!! PLEASE!!!! Say some prayers for us too!!!

Today, 7 years ago I became a Mother! It was by far the absolute best day of my life! I may not have thought that quite so much during labor, but I tell you it truely was the best day of my life when I held my adorable baby boy in my arms!!! It's so hard to believe my first born is already 7 years old!!! Eric is still in PA with my dad. He will be home Saturday morning for his birthday party. He's going to be so excited when he sees his birthday cake. Atleast I hope he will be! He's extremely into WWE right now. WWE is wrestling for those that don't know. I don't know how or why as we don't watch that at home. Now Tim watches UFC fighting, but that's real fighting not the fake stuff that WWE is. But anyway Eric didn't really give me an idea for his birthday cake and we had agreed with everything that's going on that he would just do cupcakes....but....we all know I can't just do cupcakes!!! Especially not for MY kids!!! HEHE

Anyway...so my Dad told Eric they would do whatever they wanted to do today because it was his day. So, when they got up they rode his quad, then went to the park and played on the splash pad. And then my Aunt Shirley had the boys and my Dad over and my Aunt Kay and Pete went over as well. They had dinner, cake and ice cream and then Eric got some presents. He sounded so happy! I'm sad that I didn't get to spend my baby boy's birthday with him but very happy he had a great day!!!! I can't wait to see both my boys on Saturday!!!

Pappy Summer Camp

The boys are at Pappy Summer Camp! We met my Dad in Erie yesterday and then they were on their way. I do not know who was more excited my boys or my dad! They will be in PA till this coming Saturday. My dad will bring them back for Eric's bday party. So, it's just my princess and I this week!!!

Power of Prayer!!!

Yet again, never fault the power of prayer!! My lil Ivy bean came thru the surgery with flying colors! We are home now and she's doing awesome!!!! The surgery was actually very quick! We got there at 7:15am. Did all the pre-op stuff. They let me take her back to give her the anethesia (sp). That was at 9am. At 10:36 the doctor came out to talk to us! There was actually a lot of blood going into her lungs. He ended up closing the pda (the hole in her heart) with a little coil. And what a difference that made! He showed up the video about 10 minutes after doing that and there was no more blood flow there! She was super groggy yesterday. Pretty much slept until 4pm. She ended up vomitting at one point and had an elevated tempature. But they gave her some tyelnol and she was fine! She slept the way home and when we got home, she seemed very happy to be back in her environment! She slept all thru the night last night too. I've so very proud of her and she's doing fantastic. I'm very thrilled to have this surgery behind us now. I agian thank everyone for their prayers. God is good!!!!!

Ivy's Surgery

Ivy is having her surgery tomorrow. We are to be at Strong Children's Hospital in Rochester by 7:15 am. They called to confirm and let me know more info on what's gonna happen on Monday. Now, she can't have any solids or anything after midnight. But she can have water or apple juice until 5:00 am. They told me that they have clinic conferences Thrusday morning and probably won't be done till about 9am or so. And then they will get her to anethesia and get the surgery going. My poor baby is going to be soooooo miserable. Not being able to have anything to eat or drink. I'm debating on waking her up around 4:30am and giving her a bottle of apple juice. I dunno yet. I'm praying that everything goes well and ask that you pray for my lil princess too!

So, that guy that grew up the house just called Tim!! He said he's pre-approved for the mortage, he just wants to walk threw with his contractor friend to look at the mechanicals of the house. He told Tim he's 95% positive that he wants the house. Just hoping and praying he does. It would really take a lot of stress off of us. And then I could focus more on the upcoming move and getting rid of stuff verse getting/keeping the house show ready. So continue to pray for us!

1st Showing

Tonight is our first showing for the house. We had one guy come look at the house already. He actually grew up here. We thought that he was interested in the house as he told us he wanted it and was gonna see about getting a mortage, but no more definate news since. But we have a showing tonight. So, I've been busy cleaning, cleaning, organinzing, cleaning, throwing away, did I mention cleaning....UGH I'm so ready to be done with this! Non stop working on the house since we found out we're moving. I am hoping and praying that someone buys it soon! We have an Open House this Sunday as well. Didn't quite realize how much work it was gonna be to have the house 'show' ready....needless to say, I'm at the point that it is what it is. With the Army moving us they will be doing all our packing for us, so the people coming to look at the house will just have look past all of our crap. I know when we were looking at houses we looked at alot of houses that were way worse than ours and dirty. Atleast I can say my house isn't dirty! Just cluttered lol. O well, so asking everyone to send up some prayers that the house sells quickly!

Yard Sale

We had a yard sale this weekend. It went alot better than I thought it was going to! We got rid of a bunch of stuff but boy do we have a bunch more to get rid of. There's absolutely no way we can take all of the stuff we have with us. You don't realize the amount of stuff you have till you start pulling stuff out! It's crazy!!!

A New Home for Yeti

Today we found Yeti a new home. It was alot harder to say goodbye to her than I had anticipated. Sure I new that the kids would be upset, but wow. We found her a great new home tho. She now has a lil sister. Her name is Sierra and she is a 6 month old English Mastiff. They got along great. Her new daddy Nate was excited to have her. And they he's very familiar with mastiffs. His aunt also has a mastiff rescue. I feel she will have a great home and be spoiled rotten. Nate also said he would keep us updated on her and send us some pictures. The boys were very happy to hear that. I got a couple pictures of her and some of her new sister as well. We will sure miss our Yeti!

For Sale

Our house is officially on the market. The listing went online today. It's bittersweet. This was our first home that we bought and now we are selling it. And we won't be buying again anytime soon, but that's ok. This has been a little nervewracking. I just keep praying that it sells quickly. It's crazy the amount of stuff that needs to be done and the way the laws have changed in just 4 short years. We have to fix this, do that meanwhile we've done so many things already. It's crazy really. O well. Tim got the 'official' orders yesterday, so we are definately going. I was told this evening to try to relax a bit and enjoy the last couple months that we have here. That was much needed too because while it's going to be an adventure, when we are finally in Florida I'll wish I did this or did that or went there or whatever. So, I'm gonna try to 'relax' a little bit. Hopefully that works too. I know I would relax alot more if someone comes buy my house soon! HAHA

Walking

Ivy is walking!!! She's so cute with her steps. She's been taking a few steps here and there for about 2 weeks now, but she can now walk all the way across the room when she wants to! She still is crawling but she's getting so much better! She has great balance too! Earlier she was standing then squated to pick up the toy she dropped, then stood back up and walked away. I was a little shocked but very proud of her. I can't believe she's already walking. It seems like just yesterday she rolled over!!!!

We had to go to Syracuse, NY today. Tim earned an award and it was to be presented to him by a 3 star General. Of course the General was late, but when you are a 3 star you can be! He reminded me of the General from Army Wives. Hehe. Anyway, he earned the Glen E Morrell Medallion for Recruiting Excellence! He also got a ring and then the 3 Star General Freakley gave him a coin. Which is very awesome! I'm so very proud of him!!!

M-O-V-I-N-G

We are M-O-V-I-N-G! We are moving to St. Petersburg, Florida. Or atleast around the area. We just found out on Monday 6-28-10. And the report day is September 27, 2010. We are going to try to be there in 2 months. But it's going to be hard. I'm very overwhelmed about selling the house. I really hope we can sell it because well, honestly don't really want to think of any other options. So, just hoping for the best and leaving it all in His hands. The kids seem to be taking it pretty well so far. Eric of course is a lil more worried and is going to miss his friends, but we're trying to keep telling him what an adventure it's going to be! And an adventure it is going to be! I'll keep everyone updated!

Ivy had her 1 year doctor apointment. She's doing very well! She weighes 21 lbs 4.5 oz and is 29 1/2 inches long. Her head is 18 1/4 inches. But the doctor said she's doing very well! She did super with her shot and was perfect and just listened to us sing to her when they drew her blood from her finger. Boy did they take a lot too! But she did so great, very proud of her!

Last Day of 1st Grade

Today is Eric's last day of 1st grade. So hard to believe he's gonna be in 2nd grade!!! It seems like just yesterday he was born!!! He's done very well this year. He brought home his last report card. He got all 4's and all E's!!! I'm very, very, very proud of him!!!!

Ivy's 1st birthday party was a success!!! It was so much fun and she was a very good girl!!! We had coloring pages, made fruit loop necklaces, made bookmarks, and had a sand art table! Today is my sweet baby girl's 1st birthday! It's so hard to believe that she is ONE year old! It seems like just yesterday I was running to my friends house to show her the stick that already read pregnant but I wanted her to confirm it! Wow how quick a year goes! She had a great day and we took her to Bounce Magic....it has a lot of bounce houses and games. She loved every minute of it! Daddy and let her go down the huge slide all by herself. Altho I would have preferred he didn't but she loved it!!! Her party is Saturday. I am sure she will have a great time!

We took the boys to Splash Lagoon for a lil mini vacation! They had so much fun! We went with some friends for their boy's birthday's! Ivy stayed with Yia Yia for the weekend. While we missed her, it was just so much easier for her to have fun with Yia Yia. The boys had so much fun as did we!

We took the kids to the WNED Kid Fest today! It's the shows on PBS...Super Why, Sid the Science Kid, Dinosaur Train, Curious George and more. Alex's favorite is Super Why!!! But coming in close behind are all the others mentioned!! The kiddos got to meet all the characters, see some great shows, do some cool activities and make some crafts! They truely had a good time! And I have to say they were so good! I couldn't have asked for better kiddos!!!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! This year I am extremely thankful for family! I am so thankful that I have 3 amazing and healthy children! I'm thankful to have such a loving husband! This year Aunt Kay and Pete came up from PA and friends, Mike, Sarah, and Josh came for dinner! It was very nice. I was not completely prepared like the previous years, but that's cuz I'm not used to working, esp the day before lol. But it was awesome and as always we had way too much food! Ivy's been eating cereal for over a month now but we started her on solids! She had her first taste of baby food on 11-3-09!! She had squash first then green beans and now applesauce. So far her fav's are green beans and apple sauce! But I'm sure squash will be right back up there since she was just learning with that! She's doing great with the spoon as well!!! At first it was a lil messy of course, but now she's doing so great!! She def. likes the baby food way better than the cereal!

So...haven't been on the computer much the last 3 weeks....why you may ask....the sick fairy hit our house and hit it hard! It all started with Alex...poor lil guy got sick about 3 wks ago and then it hit me, then Tim. Luckily, Eric and Ivy only mildly! But I hope it stays away, far away! We did however still get to go Trick-or-Treating, so that was great! We are all starting to feel better and slowly starting to get things back in order. That's after Tim, Alex and I were all put on antibiotics. So, I hope to be able to post some pictures soon!!

Well, after almost 7 years I've joined the work force again...altho this time it's only part time as I still have a full time job at home taking care of my beautiful 3! They are finishing up the new Super Walmart and I will be a cashier there. Kind of weird they didn't put me in the bakery or anything but whatever... I had orientation on Sat. Oct 17th and had my 1st night last night. I had to work at the old store to train a lil and it was pretty dead but the new store opens on Oct. 28th. They currently have me working 4 sometimes 5 days a week which when I applied I said 2 maybe 3 days a week so this is a lil more than I wanted but we'll see....Maybe it's just cuz the store is just opening but I dunno. Yesterday was hard tho because of course my lil Alex had to come down with something and is not feeling good at all. I am actually waiting to take my lil dude to the dr today. But gotta work again tonight....fun wow...lol but the whole reason for getting the job is to make a lil extra cash so the kiddos can do their extra activites! As Alex already says he wants to play soccer and Eric wants to play baseball and football again next year!

Guardian Angel

I am positive we have a Guardian Angel...or several! I swear my mama must be watching down! Ivy was in her carseat still from running to the grocery store. I have a cake to make for tonight, and I had moved a 2 baking dishes, one inside the other. I put the baking dishes on the counter. I reached for something and the BOTH fell and the one inside shattered RIGHT NEXT TO IVY! I couldn't believe it. And she doesn't have a scratch on her and there's no glass in her carseat or anything. Now, there was glass pieces and particles all over my kitchen and I stepped on 2 pieces, but she didn't get touched. I am so thankful and I swear it was a Guardian Angel that made it not touch my sleeping princess!

Took Ivy to the dr today for her 4 month apt. She's getting so big!! She's 14lbs. 24 1/2 inches! She is 60% for her height and weight! 75% for her head. when the dr said that I was like YUP she's a Bonnes! LOL. Sounds about right! She did FANTASTIC for her shots. I was nervous cuz she was all smiley and giggles before and then I hated to have her need them but she didn't even cry! She just held my hands and she did so well!!! I can't believe she will be 4 months old already tomorrow!!!

We took the kiddos to Letchworth State Park on Columbus Day. It was the first time the kids and I were ever there. Tim hadn't been there since he was a kid. It is so beautiful! It was fun exploring and seeing stuff! There's so much more to see! I can't wait to go back! It is truely beautiful there!!!!

Two of the other Recruiter families wanted to go Apple Picking, so we decided to take them! So, we picked some more apples and picked grapes. I think Tim enjoyed picking the grapes the most! The grapes are yummy too!! We made some AWESOME grape jam! And we still have a bunch of grapes left to use!!!!

Fire Safety 10-8-09

October is Fire Prevention Month. So, the Fire Hall had a Fire Safety night. It also is an activity for Tiger Cubs to do! So, we went. The boys had so much fun! As you will see in the pictures. They LOVED using the Fire Hose! And riding on the Fire Truck!!! The first 2 pictures, they had a lil trailer set up with a fog machine going so that the kids could go thru and see what it was kind of like if they were in a smoke filled room. It was actually a really cool thing for them to do! The boys also won door prizes that night too! A Carbon Monoxide Dectector and a Fire Extingisher.

Crazy Busy

That's how life has been here!!! We have been super busy just living life!! But all is great!!!

Eric is doing great in 1st grade! He loves school! Football is almost done for this year. This mama is secretely happy bout that lol. It's been too cold to go to practice with the baby so luckily Daddy has been able to take him!! He's in Cub Scouts now too! He LOVES it!!! And I"m Den Mother. It's alot of fun tho! He is also starting Bible Club tomorrow at school. They meet every Thrusday so I think he will like that alot as well!!

Alex...still happy as ever! He's still enjoying all his new toys from his birthday party!! His party was great! While it was a lil crowded I think it was a complete success! He was a happy lil boy and that's all that matters to me! He is doing fantastic in Pre-K and absolutely loves it!!!

Ivy is awesome! Hard to believe she's almost 4 months old. She goes to the dr. tomorrow. not looking forward to the shots tho. I don't like those never have, never will. So, I will be updating again with her stats. She's rolling over like crazy! And she LOVES to have her hands in her mouth! She is always nawing on them!

Hopefully I can post some pics....We've takin the kids apple picking, grape picking, and to Letchworth this past weekend. All the boys had a vaca from work/school for Columbus day so we took advantage of it!!

So hard to believe that my lil man is 3 years old today!! Seems like just yesterday he was born! He is a very good boy but he does keep me on my toes and sometimes is a lil trying. But that's what boys do...and he is ALL boy!!! So, completely different than Eric was/is. It's like night and day. But he's doing great with the potty training and he absolutely LOVES pre-k! His birthday party is today...he wanted a Halloween Party...so that's what he gets!!! He has 3 kiddos coming from his pre-k class, so that will be fun!!! Looking forward to it!! Lil miss Ivy Dawn decided it's finally time to start rolling over. I can't believe it. AND I missed it! I am so bummed...atleast Daddy isn't too upset with me cuz he missed it too so now we both missed it because I ran outside for a sec to get something from a lady dealing with cub scouts and I come back in to see lil girl laying on her tummy SMILING! We started lil miss on some Rice cereal on Sunday night. She had not been too satified with her milk so we thought we would try some. 1 TBSP in her 6oz bottle but boy does it make a difference. AND she loves it! She slams the bottle in about 4 min. now I think (well, those 2 anyway!) She's doing so great with it too! And, it's right on par with how the boys were...Right around 3 months. Crazy how alike but different siblings are!!! But she's doing fantastic!!! So, smiley and happy!! She's a good girl!!!

What a great day today turned out to be!!! We took the kids apple picking! We had stumbled across an apple farm (Falcone Farms) the other day visiting friends, and since the place we typically go apple picking at lost a lot of their crop due to this years weather, we wanted to check it out! So, Sara kindly got us the info...(Thanks again!!!) And off we went...It was the best!!! The kids had so much fun!! We will definately go back again! In fact in a couple weeks, we plan on going back to pick our own grapes! Anyway, Here's a couple pics!

This has been the best chore chart ever I think!!! My kids LOVE it! As do we!!!!! I actually got the idea from a family fun magazine. And then I just ran with it! Here's the deal...we made 'Dad Dollars' on the computer with Tim's face in the middle!!! Then, I got a the biggest dry erase board I could find and then came up with a chart. It was some trial and error coming up with the right way to get everything to fit on it but I finally got it!!! I wrote out Eric's chores (age 6) and Alex's chores (age "almost' 3) , Overtime, and Mom's Market!

The way we do it hear (because I am not a morning person so I don't want Eric getting up and trying to do a ton of chores to earn Dad Dollars lol) They can earn $2 each in the morning by doing their morning chores and then $2 each in the evening by doing their evening chores. I don't remind them to do their chores either! And they are pretty basic (I don't want to make them not enjoy things either! But I will add more to their daily chores as they get older and what not) But they each have their own "Bank" (an envelope) and every morning (and evening) I just put their $2 on top of their envelope and lay it on the kitchen Island, They see it there and usually have already completed their chores therefore the money is theirs!

We also added in "Overtime" So, they can earn more money since the max a day they get are $4 from their regular chores. Overtime for instance If Eric reads to Alex he gets $1, if Alex listens to Eric's story he gets $1. Take out the garbage from the bathroom $1 each room. Vaccum living room $5. But they must finish their regular chores in order to do Overtime!!!

Then, there's the "Mom's Market" Where I made up some things that they can get if they give me some money. For example, Pop with dinner $3, Have a friend sleep over $25, Go to Chuckee Cheese $30, Have a movie night $8, Go to the movies $30.
If one child wants a movie night only the one child has to pay altho my boys wanted a movie night the other night and decided to split the cost so it was $4 each! I was pretty proud!!! \

O and each Dad Dollar is worth 10 cents. So, they have to give me $10 Dad Dollars for $1 real money!!!

I am completely loving this concept! It is teaching my boys so much already! Counting money, saving money, responesabilty, independence, and so much more!! Plus it's making it so it doesn't cost Tim and I so much money! Instead of shelling out real money each week or whatever It's only occasionally! It's so much nicer on our wallet that's for sure!!! And the kids just LOVE this!!!

Ivy's Cardiologist Update

Well, we had her cardiologist follow-up apt. yesterday. I was very hopeful going in as the ped. doctors said they couldn't hear the murmur anymore. (but we did see a different doctor last time, from now on we are only going to see Dr. Kita) Anyway, we go and the Cardiologist...Dr. Menon listens to her and his words were....."I don't think I hear it." and then "No, it's not there" So, me....I'm about to burst I'm so happy but we have to get an EKG and another Echo done again to see for sure. Ivy did so great!!! She was just laying there talking to me and she was helping the tech use the sonogram thing. she was so cute!!! I was so proud of her, she never once cried or anything even when they pulled the sticky stuff off....AND bonus....they were looking for a pacifier to give to her because they thought she would need it for the EKG to stay still....NOPE...no paci here...just needs her mama's touch! The lady was impressed (and quite honestly~ I am too she is such a great girl!!! She is really a good baby!!!) Anyway, so the doctor came back in and told us that everything still is there. I don't quite understand how it can all be the same and them 'not hearing it' but I'm not a doctor....but he said he doesn't want us to come back till May (8months from now) and then if it's still not closed we are looking at having surgery around her 1st birthday. Dr said it's not major open heart like it used to be, some how they would go thru leg somehow. But it still freaks me out. I have decided tho, that I do want to get a second opinion. While I am sure it's there and bla bla bla.....she's my baby and if we can avoid sugery then that would be great. It's been alot to take in as I've never had to deal with this sort of thing before and she is my baby. And no matter what anyone says it sucks and I don't have to like it at all. I know that it's not as big of a deal as it could be...but to me it is huge and I feel like I did this somehow and I should have done something different I dunno. BUT I all I can do now is pray that there's a chance that it could still close on its own. So, that's what I will do!!!

1st Grade!

Today was Eric's first day of 1st Grade!!! He was so excited to go!! He is such an big and independent boy!!! I tell ya, it definetly was quiet here from 12-3:45pm. As that is when Alex went to school too. It was weird! But Ivy got a great lil nap in while Mama here cried over going thru more boy clothes! (I'm still trying to part with their clothes!!!) So, our school day starts with Eric geting on the bus around 8:30am and he got home around 3:50pm. It was late today and I'm sure like last year will get earlier as the days go on. He should prob get home around 3:30pm in a couple wks! Alex gets on the bus around 11:50am or so and gets home around 4:30pm I am sure that his bus time in the afternoon will get quicker as well. But today was only the 4th day for him! Eric's 1st grade teacher's name is Mrs. Crupe. I will hopefully be able to post pictures soon but can't right now as I have no way to upload them from my camera. Tim said the motherboard on the laptop crashed and the desktop that I'm on right now, it's so old and there is no way to put a disk in it. So, I hope that I have enough room on my camera to store some pictures! I know I take a lot but hey...this mama wants to remember all these special moments!!!

So, it's official now...I have a 1st grader, a pre-schooler, and a newborn!! I'm a proud Mama!!

Today was Alex's 1st day of Pre-K. He did so well! I was so proud of him. He was not scared to get on the bus or anything!! He marched right up onto it like he has been doing it for years! He let the aide buckle him up and left Mommy with a big cheesey smile before he left. His bus picked him up at 11:55am and he got home today about 4:25pm. I asked him what he had for lunch and he said he had "nana's" (bananas) but I think he also had sketti lol (leftovers but who knows) He came home wearing the same outfit he went in which is HUGE because that means NO ACCIDENTS!!!! I am so proud of my lil big man!!! I can't believe how fast he's growing up. It truely is bittersweet. He said he had alot of fun at school today, so that made me really happy! He was a little bit of a bear this evening. But I was completely expecting that as it was a long first day for him! And yes Mama did cry but he's my baby.....

We went to PA for Ivy to be dedicated. Aunt Kay called and said that the Church was doing a baby dedication on August 16th for any baby's that needed to be dedicated, well, we chose to jump on. We wanted to get Ivy dedicated at Freeport Road Alliance Church anyway because that is where we had both boys dedicated. Freeport Road does and always will have a special place in my heart because that's the Church I grew up in and where my mom went and family and so on. What made it even more special was to have Rev. Walborn there and say a prayer for our daughter. It truelly made the day perfect! Thank you again Rev. Walborn! The service was great! Ivy was fussy during the dedication because I was feeding her before we went up but then had to stop as as soon as she got her chow back she was a very happy girl! She did well tho! I slacked on pictures of the day:( but Aunt Kay will send some I'm sure as I only have 1 picture to share of my princess in her pretty dress. I am a lil sad that I didn't get more pictures on my camera tho.

Ivy had her 2 month Check-up on Friday, August 14th. She did so very well!! She is a tall girl! She is 23 1/2 inches long and 10# 3.2oz. She is by far a petite lil thing still. I am starting to see her getting bigger but she is still so tiny to me! But o so cute!!!! She had all her shots and while I was aggrevated a little with the nurse (gotta love how they decide what's best when it usually isn't....a mama knows her kids! but anyway....) She did so well! I can't believe my lil love bug is already 2 months old! She is starting to bat at a couple hanging toys and i just love all her smiles!!! I love seeing both dimples!!!!

Kitchen Picnic

Since it rained out the cornfest for our lunch, we came home and had a Kitchen Picnic. lol. The kids loved it!!! Then we had a nice visit from Grandma!! Of course the rain finally stopped, so we went back to the cornfest for dinner! it was a good day!

Eden Corn Fest was this past weekend. We went yesterday (Sunday) for the Military Appreciation parade. Tim was in the parade on the big ol float! We planned on staying for a bit but after the parade it started pouring so onto home we went! Here are some pics from the parade!kids waiting

I was trying to take the 'monthly Friday picture' for my Born in June board. Well, I wanted to get lil miss Ivy in her current favorite spot....the $5 swing I picked up at a yard sale last weekend. Well, I got even luckier...I captured her first real smile on camera!! I was so thrilled! I mean yea she's done smiles here and there but not from you talking to her have I gotten such a great smile! It was so awesome!!! I love those firsts!!! Anyway, enjoy!!!!

Wow did it ever rain last night. Our roof leaked AND our basement flooded:( I swear we can not catch a break with the basement:( I'm still in the process of cleaning it up but we are now going to do something different with the floor so it's not so hard to clean up if it happens again. but i sure hope not. Guess the rain was just too much for our sump pump and the brand new back up we installed......AH well, but I need a new back anyone got an extra?? Off to clean up the mess again :(
